A gorgeous pavillion is depicted among the trees stirred by the wind.
In the center of the image, the master of the building is probably the high priest who is talking with his attendants by the window of his study.
The highlight of this work is the exquisite depiction of the motifs.
Every detail of the building, from the roof tiles, balustrades, and blinds to the interior furnishings, is depicted without a single detail being neglected.
Looking at the room on the second floor, toward the far right, we can see two attendants peeking out from behind a curtain that is billowing in the wind.
By depicting the billowing curtain, the artist has captured the momentary wind that blows through the mountain pavilion on the silk.
This work suggests the artist’s admiration for the Chinese literati, who left the hustle and bustle of the mundane world behind to lead a life of elegant seclusion.
