A hawk perched on a pine branch, its sharp gaze fixed behind it, is depicted. The hawk’s rendering is exceptionally detailed, with each part—from head to neck, torso, and talons—meticulously rendered. Particularly, the fluffy neck feathers showcase the masterful feather-rendering technique of the artist.
In contrast, the pine tree is rendered with simplified, vigorous brushstrokes. This juxtaposition with the meticulously detailed hawk lends the work a complex charm. The skillful use of varying ink tones to express the overlapping branches and leaves is also masterful.
